Local Emergency Pet Hospital to Offer FREE Pet CPR and First Aid Course
Valuable, Lifesaving Information Taught by Certified Instructor
Animal Emergency and Critical Care Center of Brevard is excited to announce a FREE Pet CPR and First Aid class that is available to the public. This program equips pet owners and those that deal with domestic pets the skills to act in the event of a pet emergency. The program is taught by Red Cross Certified Instructor Andy Riddick. Andy has more than 20 years of experience in the veterinary field and currently serves as the practice manager at Animal Emergency and Critical Care Center of Brevard.
• Symptoms and care for common ailments and emergencies
• Instructions for creating a pet first aid kit and giving medications
• How to recognize and respond to a medical emergency until care is available

◦ Bone, Muscle and Joint Injuries
◦ Ear Problems
◦ Poisoning and other common veterinary emergencies
• Tips for maintaining your pet’s health and well-being
WHEN: Saturday, July 19th, 2014.Class begins at 10am and is expected to last no more than 2 hours.

No Certification: AECC’s Pet CPR and First Aid Program is an abbreviated version of the training needed to become certified by the Red Cross. We do not offer a certification program at this time – instead our primary goal is to raise awareness of the importance of immediate action in response to a pet’s emergency situation.
