Jacqueline Serio, DVM

Dr. Serio holds a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Louisiana State University where she also received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Her interest in veterinary medicine goes back to early childhood, where she grew up working in her mother’s practice. Since becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Serio has enjoyed not only animal care and medicine, but also working with owners to enhance the human animal bond.

Before becoming an emergency veterinarian at Animal Emergency and Critical Care Center of Brevard, Dr. Serio spent 17 years as a veterinary assistant, a year as a veterinary receptionist and worked as a veterinarian at a low cost/high volume practice in Brevard County. Dr. Serio has a special interest in exotic animal medicine. She currently volunteers several days a week to work alongside the veterinarian at Brevard Zoo. Dr. Serio is a well rounded veterinarian who is excited to learn and grown as a professional each day that she comes to work.

The most rewarding part of Dr. Serio’s job is knowing that she has made a difference in the life of an animal and the animal’s family. Dr. Serio is the proud pet parent of Pirate, a retriever, Johnny Cash, a Domestic Shorthaired Cat, Chiki and Fifi, both Chihuahua / Dachshund Mixes along with several snakes.
