Jonathon is a veterinary technician who joined the AECC team in 2013.  Jonathon’s responsibilities include patient triage, assisting the doctors in special procedures or surgeries and staying in communication with pet parents while their pets are being cared for at the center.

Jonathan attended the veterinary technician program at Holyoke Community College in Massachusetts. Soon, he will become eligible for certification.

Jonathan started his veterinary career in 2005 as a kennel attendant at a general practice facility where he was quickly moved to a position assisting the doctor with patients and in the surgery room. In 2009, Jonathon left general practice to pursue a career in emergency medicine and has been following that path ever since.

The most rewarding part about his work is, “being able to see sick and injured pets get better and go home with their family.”  Jonathon has a large pet family including a Boxer named Cinnamon, a Chihuahua named Batman, a Chihuahua Mix name Wilson, and Umbrella Cockatoo named Olive and several Ball Pythons.
