Laurie is a veterinary technician at Animal Emergency and Critical Care Center of Brevard. She usually works during the evening shifts, caring for emergency patients and hospitalized patients. As a veterinary technician, her duties include assisting in exam rooms, performing diagnostic tests, administering treatments and generally providing the best nursing care possible for her patients.
Having been raised on a farm, Laurie has always believed that people must be a voice for animals and advocate on their behalf. Laurie is a member of the National Barrel Horse Association and Suncoast Barrel Racing Association.
The things Laurie enjoys most about her work here at the hospital are satisfying the client/pet owner and knowing that she met or exceeded their expectations about our hospital, learning new techniques from other talented members of the pet care team and of course, seeing a patient come to the hospital in a critical state but go home to their family, happy and healthy again.
After her work as veterinary technician here at the hospital ends each day, Laurie still has quite a few pets to care for at home. Her pet family includes 5 dogs: Milo and Abby (Dachshunds), Remi (Boxer Mix), Casper (Maltese), Broken (Cur); BB and Toby (Domestic Shorthaired Cats); Horses, Della (Appendix) and Sven (Quarter Horse) and 3 chickens.
